Qadam- Students Sponsorship Scheme (Zakath compliant)
Two third of our students in Our India International School are belonging to marginalized social segment. The only way to empower these groups is to give them access to quality education. As they come from very poor financial background, it’s not possible for them to remain in the school rolls without financial support.
The finding of a study conducted by OIF during 2014 was shocking to learn that dropout rate among the minority community in Kandhla was as high as 92%. Qadam is a scheme to effectively address the menace of dropout.
Our India Foundation has a flexible fee structure by considering the vulnerable economic status of parents so as to admit all interested students. In order to meet the gap between the income and direct expenses, the school has introduced a Deficit ManagementFund (DFM) along with the sponsorship scheme.

Rahbar . Higher Education Fund (Zakath compliant)
Rahbar is a project to support brilliant students from poor financial background for higher studies in reputed National Institutions. Four students belonged to extremely fragile background from Kandhla have completed MSW from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and are well placed. One can contribute amounts or sponsor the full fee of students.

Aab. Drinking water project (Zakath compliant)
The project Aab was initiated when OIF witnessed a colony with 264 families live with only one bore well. It’s the project to provide drinking water to everyone. Within five years, OIF has erected 126 bore wells benefitting about 4,680 families and 28,600 people
A bore well with a depth of 220 feet will cost Rs 42,000/.
The bore well will normally be beneficial to 35 to 40 families

Rahath. Food support project (Zakath compliant)
‘Rahath’ is a project to distribute food stuffs to poor and weaker sections during Ramadan and other difficult times. About 73,500 people are benefitted through this scheme in the last five years.

Tharas . Project of Mid day meal to OIIS students (Zakath compliant)
It is observed that majority of the students coming to the school with empty stomachs. It was found that it affects their studies and performance.
